Shirdi is a sacred town in Ahmednagar district, Maharashtra, and the divine abode of Shri Sai Baba — a revered saint who taught the unity of all faiths through the words "Shraddha aur Saburi" (Faith and Patience). Sai Baba arrived in Shirdi as a young man in the mid-1800s and spent over 60 years here, healing the sick, feeding the poor, and guiding devotees until his Mahasamadhi on 15 October 1918. Today, the Samadhi Mandir built over his resting place draws over 25,000 pilgrims daily from across India and the world. The main darshan hall, the sacred Dwarkamai Mosque where Baba tended his eternal dhuni, the Chavadi where he slept alternate nights, and the Lendi Baug garden he personally watered — each spot carries the living energy of his presence.
